Dallas trial judge Jim Jordan lost the Democratic primary in Dallas yesterday.  Jordan was the trial judge in the Dawn Nettles Fun 5’s lawsuit filed in Dallas.  Jordan ruled that both the TLC and GTECH (IGT) are immune from suit for fraud whether or not the Fun 5’s scratch-off tickets were misleading.

Jordan was defeated in the Democratic primary election by Aiesha Redmond.  Ms. Redmond graduated in the top 5 percent of her class at law school and worked for the prestigious Baker Botts law firm.

On behalf of lottery players across the State of Texas, we congratulate Ms. Redmond and we hope that, if she wins the general election, she will apply the existing fraud laws of Texas to protect lottery players from being misled.  Nobody should be above the law, especially GTECH.
